Remaining Useful Lifetime (RUL): Probabilistic Predictive Model

چکیده

Reliability evaluations and assurances cannot be delayed until the device (system) is fabricated put into operation. of an electronic product should conceived at early stages its design; implemented during manufacturing; evaluated (considering customer requirements existing specifications), by electrical, optical mechanical measurements testing; checked (screened) fabrication; and, if necessary appropriate, maintained in field product’s Prognostics health monitoring (PHM) effort can significant help, especially last, operational stage, use. Accordingly, a simple physically meaningful probabilistic predictive model suggested for evaluation remaining useful lifetime (RUL) after appreciable deviation from normal operation conditions has been detected, corresponding increase failure rate change configuration wear-out portion bathtub curve assessed. The general concepts are illustrated numerical example. employed, along with other PHM forecasting interfering tools means, to evaluate maintain high level reliability (probability non-failure) stage lifetime.

Remaining Useful Life Estimation In the Presence of Given Shocks

In a system, prediction of remaining useful lifetime (RUL) of servicing before reaching to a specified breakdown threshold is a very important practical issue, and research in this field is still regarded as an appreciated research gap. Operational environment of an equipment is not constant and changes regarding to stresses and shocks. These random environmental factors accelerate system deter...

Bayesian Approach for Remaining Useful Life Prediction

Prediction of the remaining useful life (RUL) of critical components is a non-trivial task for industrial applications. RUL can differ for similar components operating under the same conditions. Working with such problem, one needs to contend with many uncertainty sources such as system, model and sensory noise. To do that, proposed models should include such uncertainties and represent the bel...

Nonlinear Model Predictive Control with Probabilistic Models

Nonlinear Model Predictive Control (NMPC) is a powerful control framework, which strongly relies on a good model of the system dynamics. In the case, such a model is not available apriori, non-parametric regression using Bayesian regression or Gaussian Processes (GPs) have been shown promising in inferring the dynamics from collected data. An advantage of Bayesian methods and GPs over other reg...

Probabilistic Knowledge Processing and Remaining Uncertainty

Information is indispensable in preparing economic decisions purposefully. In this paper knowledge is represented by a probability distribution. Knowledge acquisition is realized by the principle of maximum entropy which guarantees an unsophisticated expansion of knowledge and provides an unbiased basis for decision processes. Under a mathematical point of view entropy measures remaining uncert...
